Euonymus fortunei 'Kewensis'

What this diminuitive Euonymus lacks in size it certainly makes up in cuteness! Barely reaching 2" in height, it winds its way through plantings to make an adorable groundcover. The dark green leaves seldom reach 1/2" in length, and the silver veination helps create an even finer texture.

It grows quite well in just about any light, but the foliage is more sparse in shadier areas. Expect it to spread slowly through rooting at the nodes.

I love planting this under yellow to chartreuse-leaved hosta like 'Prairie Glow' or 'Lunar Eclipse', but it makes an equally good backdrop for Trillium and other spring ephemerals.
