This beautiful spring-flowering columbine is covered in long-spurred white flowers counterbalanced by a large tuft of yellow stamens. Bursting into the landscape in late spring, they make a particulary stunning display when massed with red columbines like 'Crimson Star' and are wonderful as cut flowers, lasting up to two weeks in a vase.

Like Crimson Star, the plants will perform admirably if left on their own. However, you can extend your season by cutting plants back to the basal foliage after their done blooming. You'll probably get a second flush of growth followed by another crop of flowers. Your plant's health will also improve if you cut the foliage back in the fall and remove any dead leaves in the spring.

When planting, make sure that your plants have good drainage or they may rot during the winter months. A slightly shady spot will also ensure that the flowers last longer on your plants.

Pot size: 4.5"sq x 5.0" (1004 ml, or ~one quart).
