I predict that this little-known shrub is going to become quite popular in the coming years. Petite and compact, this low mounder puts forth a non-stop display of small, violet-purple blooms reminiscent of a lilac in both fragrance and appearance from late spring until frost. It slowly grows outward through suckers over time, but isn't the least bit invasive. Try one in full sun with Achillea ptarmica 'Nana Ballerina' for a fine-textured display of color. Pot size: 4.5"sq x 3.5" (475 ml, or .5 quarts).
