Vinca minor 'Honeydew'

What a glorious groundcover for dark spaces! I absolutely love the soft chartreuse glow of this vinca's foliage it's even further accentuated by five-petaled, lavender-blue flowers that are cover the plant in spring. Although the heaviest floral crop appears in spring, this cultivar still continues to bloom on and off all summer long until frost hits.

Like most Vinca vines it will produce fewer blooms in deep shade, so if you can give it partial shade you'll get more flowers. It will fill a space faster if grown in organic, moist, well-drained soil, but it will also grow quite well in heavy clay as long as it gets adequate moisture.

Try letting 'Honeydew' ramble through your Hellebore plantings or around darker-foliaged hosta like Hosta lancifolia to help offset your larger perennials.

Pot size: 4.5"sq x 3.5" (475 ml, or .5 quarts).
